Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of intellecta.app and the practice tools on it. By using the site you accept them.

What Intellecta provides

Intellecta provides practice material, automated feedback, study planning, and educational guides for people preparing for English language tests. Core features are free to use, with or without an account.

Not an official test provider

Intellecta is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the organisations that own or administer IELTS or TOEFL. Nothing on this site is an official practice test, an official score, or an official statement about test format or policy. Any band estimate or accuracy figure is a study indicator only. Decisions about test registration, readiness, or applications should not be based solely on results here.

AI-generated content

Feedback, explanations, flashcards, study plans, and other generated output are produced by automated systems and may contain errors. Review them before relying on them, and treat them as a study aid rather than as authoritative assessment. Our methodology page describes the known limits in detail.

Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and tell us if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to generate or distribute unlawful, abusive, or deliberately misleading content.
  • Submit other people's personal data, identity documents, or confidential material into practice tools.
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, scrape the service at scale, or disrupt its operation.
  • Resell access to the service or present its output as an official assessment.
  • Upload material you do not have the right to submit.

We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms.

Content you submit

You keep ownership of the text, files, and recordings you submit. You give us permission to process them in order to operate the service — which includes sending them to a third-party AI provider to generate your feedback, and storing them so your history remains available to you.

Content we provide

Practice sets, guides, and the site itself are our original material and remain our property. You may use them for your own study and, if you are a teacher, with your own students. You may not republish them at scale or present them as your own.

Availability

The service is provided as it is, without guarantees of availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Features may change or be withdrawn. AI-dependent features are subject to rate limits and to the availability of the underlying providers.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, including outcomes in official tests, applications, or admissions decisions.

Changes

We may update these terms. The updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change, and continuing to use the service after a change means the revised terms apply.
